Got Questions? Try Alpha.
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome.
What to Expect
First up there's food. In Alpha, we understand the value of a good meal, and how people come together over food. The meals are provided by different groups, such as the Knights of Columbus, Immaculate Heart of Mary Food Bank, Magnificat Moms, or others. We know that in many cases you have just got off work, so a good meal is needed.
Next, a talk. The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Generally thirty minutes long, they can be given as a live talk or played as a video. The videos are available online if you want to check out some of the topics in advance. Live talks can be given by our staff, clergy or lay leaders at the parish.
Finally, we finish with discussion in small group, and really can be the most important part of the course. The relationships you build through the food, talks and then discussing with your peers can lead to some incredible things.
