40 Cans for Lent
Support our Community and Food Bank – Begins Ash Wednesday
For many families in our community, ongoing economic hardships have resulted in daily struggles to put food on their tables. During IHMs “40 Cans for Lent” we aspire to have each parishioner contribute one can of non-perishable food (or dry goods) per day throughout the Lenten season beginning Ash Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
Here’s How it Works
We’ve placed special containers (they’re big purple boxes, so you can’t miss em) in the Parish Center and Narthex to help collect your donations which will be used to fill IHMs Food Bank pantry shelves. Help set the table for families in need!
Our Faith Formation classes will also be participating and competing for a pizza party. We’ll send home a flyer with the kids in their classes next week to outline the details.
Thanks for helping out, and thanks for being part of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Family. We look forward to celebrating Lent and Easter with you this year.
